Town Police Log: Man Violently Smacks Officer's Hand
The following arrest information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. It does not indicate guilt.
Mark Goode, 38, of Riverside was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Sunday at 8:08 a.m. on Old Quogue Road in Riverside and charged with second-degree obstructing government administration, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment, both violations. Police said they saw Goode sleeping in front of a home he’s staying at on Old Quogue Road. Police tried to serve Goode with a summons for a prior incident, but he screamed and cursed at them, violently smacking one of the officers hands and shouting “Get that away from me.”
Goode has been arrested three times since February. He was arrested in March for and fleeing on foot, and in February for .
Christopher Brown, 22, of Riverside was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Thursday, June 16 at 10:01 a.m. at his home on Old Quogue Road and charged with false personation, a misdemeanor. Brown gave police a fake name on June 14 because he had an outstanding bench warrant for a prior arrest, police said.

John Gallino, 36, of Rocky Point was arrested by Southampton Town Police Saturday at 9:53 p.m. at the corner of Flanders and Old Riverhead roads in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Gallino hit a parked car near the intersection, police said.
