Town Police: Man Broke Another's Nose
The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.
Southampton Town Police reports for the week of July 25 through August 1:
Assault
Samuel Guevara, 18, of Riverhead was arrested Tuesday, July 26 at 3:30 p.m. on Sagaponack Road in Bridgehampton and charged with third-degree assault and false personation, both misdemeanors. Guevara punched a man in the face and head, giving him a broken nose, police said. He then gave police a false name because of an existing warrant from Riverhead Town Police, police said.

Donald Oliver, 36, of Flanders was arrested Wednesday, July 27 at 5:15 p.m. on Flanders Road in Riverside and charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, both misdemeanors, and second-degree harassment, a violation. Police said Oliver was in a domestic dispute and took away his partner’s cell phone.
DWI

Matej Petrak, 26, of Flanders was arrested Sunday at 4:51 a.m. at the corner of Flanders Road and Glider Avenue in Flanders and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Petrak was stopped for not using his turn signal; when police pulled him over they found he appeared intoxicated.
Jessica L. Rockford, 25, of Wading River was arrested Sunday at 3:29 a.m. at the corner of Ponquogue Avenue and Shinnecock Road in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they saw Rockford ignore a stop sign when they pulled her over.
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance
Tommy Giffin, 30, of Ridge was arrested Friday at 5:16 p.m. on the corner of Suffolk Avenue and Nassau Street in Flanders and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Giffin was stopped for a seatbelt violation when police saw that he had a large amount of marijuana and a smaller amount of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
