Woman Charged With Possession, Disorderly Conduct in Flanders

Police say woman was seen walking on Flanders Road.

A Long Beach woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct in Flanders in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Southampton Town police said that on Sunday at approximately 2:21 a.m., a passing motorist called to report a female walking in the roadway on Flanders Road -- Route 24 -- in Flanders.

Southampton Town Police officers said they responded to the area and found Ryan P. Tangney, 27, of Long Beach; officers said Tangney was in possession of a controlled substance, Suboxone, at the time of her arrest.

Tangney was arrested and charged with criminal possession of controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a violation. She was brought to Southampton Town police headquarters and held for morning arraignment at Southampton Justice Court.
