Woman Strikes Boat on Jet Ski, Hospitalized

No serious injuries were reported in an accident in Peconic Bay on Saturday afternoon.

A 30-year-old woman was hospitalized after she struck a moored boat in Peconic Bay on Saturday afternoon while driving a jet ski.

According to police, the call came in around 2:20 p.m. from the Meeting House Creek area reporting the incident.

Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene and transported the woman to Peconic Bay Medical Center.

No serious injuries were reported, and an eyewitness reported seeing the woman conscious before being sent to the hospital.
