5 Reasons Sean Walter Deserves Your Vote for Town Supervisor

Riverhead Patch has asked all the candidates for Town Assessor, Town Board and Supervisor to write up five reasons why they deserve your vote next Tuesday, Nov. 8. Here's what the incumbent candidate for Town Supervisor Sean Walter had to say:

1. Even in these tough economic times, Walter has brought new life to downtown, with events, concerts, fairs and parades. A new Hyatt hotel, new shops and restaurants. 

2. Working with other layers of government, Walter has created a real plan to move away from "pipe dream" proposals and finally subdivide the land at EPCAL. 

3. Walter has put the brakes on runaway spending at our town landfill. Finished the town's undone audits and has reduced the size and cost of government. 

4. Walter has partnered with Suffolk County to purchase farmland and open space. 

5. Walter is striking the proper balance between creating tax base and protecting our town's rural character.
