Baiting Hollow Man Lands in Jail Over Home

Eugene Lafurno is due back in court next month after being arrested on a warrant.

A Baiting Hollow man remains in custody at Suffolk County Jail after being arrested on a warrant in relation to a tower-like structure built on his Founders Path home.

According to the Riverhead News-Review, Eugene Lafurno was arrested earlier this month after a warrant was issued last October for building code violations. Lafurno reportedly dubbed the home "The Epiphany" and modeled it after a South Fork mansion selling for over $11 million.

According to a town justice court clerk, he is being held on $1,000 bail currently and is due back in court on May 7.
