Candidates Face Off in One Last Pre-Election Debate Thursday
What candidates will you support in the coming election?
With the clock ticking and Election Day fast approaching, candidates for Riverhead Town government seats are ready to engage in a sure-to-be heated debate at the Suffolk Theater Thursday night.
Two town board seats are up for grabs, as well as the town supervisor's post.
The debate, which kicks off at 7 p.m., will feature candidates for town supervisor, incumbent Republican Sean Walter and Democrat Angela Devito. Next up will be the Republican town candidates for town board, John Dunleavy, Jodi Giglio, and their Democratic challengers, Bill Bianchi and Millie Thomas.
The debate is presented by local publications the Riverhead News-Review and RiverheadLOCAL, according to a News-Review article.
Tickets cost $5 each, with all ticket proceeds being donated to Brendan House, a group home on Sound Avenue for those suffering from traumatic brain injuries.
Doors, kitchen and bar open at the Suffolk Theater from 5 to 7 p.m. and from 9 p.m. until close.
Election Day is on Nov. 5.
