Current Road Closures in Riverhead

Three days after Hurricane Sandy, some roads in Riverhead remain closed -- and some traffic lights are not working.

The sun may be shining but Riverhead continues to dig out from the wrath of Hurricane Sandy.

Riverhead Town Police Chief David Hegermiller said on Thursday that a number of roads remain closed. Following is a complete list of road closures.

Riverhead Town Road Closures, Updated Nov. 1

Manor Lane, Jamesport -- Closed due to a transformer fire.

Robinson Parkway, Riverhead -- Open wires across road.

Meadow Lane, Riverhead -- Open wires across road.

Fire Lane, Wading River -- Closed.

Creek Road, Wading River -- Closed.

Apple Lane, Wading River -- Closed.

Dogwood Drive, Wading River -- Closed.

Ostrander Avenue, Riverhead -- Northbound lane closed.

Fanning Boulevard, Riverhead -- Closed.

Eight Bellls Road, Riverhead -- Closed.

Traffic Lights Out 

Riverhead Police Chief David Hegermiller said if traffic lights are out, intersections must be treated as a full four-way stop.
