Legislator Krupski Launches Newsletter For Constituents

New Suffolk County Legislator Al Krupski wants to keep residents up to date.

To that end, Krupski has launched a newsletter detailing recent events and happenings.

The first edition of "News From the 1st District" discusses issues Krupski has spotlighted since taking office, including co-sponsoring a bill that completes the preservation of Riverhead's North Fork Preserve, home rule deer management -- Krupski recently met with the Riverhead Town board to discuss changes that would help thin a burgeoning deer herd -- taking a stand against dumping in the Long Island Sound, and a meeting of the Suffolk County aquaculture lease program, for Peconic Bay and Gardiner's Bay, which will be held in Riverhead on April 10.

"My tenure in government, both as a Southold Town trustee and councilman, has prepared me for my role in the Suffolk County Legislature, especially my experience balancing budgets, preserving land and protecting our resources," Krupski wrote. "In the last several weeks I have met with numerous individuals and community groups to discuss the issues that are important to residents of the of the 1st Legislative District and I look forward to meeting more of you in the upcoming weeks and months."
