Manorville Horse Rescuer Sues After Cruelty Charges Dropped

New York Horse Rescue head Mona Kanciper files suit against Suffolk prosecutor

The owner of a Manorville horse rescue organization has filed a suit against a Suffolk prosecutor after animal cruelty charges lodged against her by the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals were dropped in November.

According to Newsday, Mona Kanciper is suing Hauppauge attorney Leonard Lato for $5 million in damages since he led the investigation.
