On A Shoestring: Assemblyman Hosts Job Fair

An ongoing series looking at how residents can make ends meet during challenging financial times.

 Times are hard.

With a bleak economic climate, scores of locals have lost jobs in recent months. To that end, Assemblyman Dan Losquadro will host a job fair in conjunction with the Suffolk County Department of Labor on August 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the North Shore Public Library on Route 25A in Shoreham.

“With many residents in the first assembly district vigorously seeking employment, this job fair will provide them the opportunity to speak with several employers at one location,” Losquadro said. The event is the last of three such job fairs the assemblyman planned for the summer. "I urge residents who are seeking employment to bring a copy of their resume, dress for success and see what employment opportunities are available.”
