Albert Einstein Was A Wise Man

Change is the only way to fix the problems in Congress.

I think we can all agree that Albert Einstein was a
wise man.

One of his more famous sayings attributed to him was describing the definition of insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.”

With just six weeks until Election Day here Suffolk County, that principle certainly applies to five-term Congressman Tim Bishop and this year’s race for Congress.

Bishop has been in Congress for both Republican Presidents and Democratic Presidents, as well as Republican-controlled Congresses and Democratic-controlled Congresses.

During Rep. Bishop’s nearly 10 years in Washington, the economic and fiscal health of the country has deteriorated, while the popularity ratings of Congress’ have plummeted along with it.

On Congressman Bishop’s watch, over 40,000 more Long Islanders have become unemployed according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics.

On Congressman Bishop’s watch, the national debt has grown from $6 trillion to $16 trillion, and continues to rise with no end in sight.

On Congressman Bishop’s watch, the federal government now spends over $1 trillion more than it takes in annually.  It’s so bad that during the last three years,
Congress hasn’t even bothered to pass a budget.

And while middle-class families, seniors and small businesses on Long Island have all struggled mightily, Congressman Bishop has collected a lucrative, taxpayer-funded congressional salary and lined his own pockets at our expense.

Embarrassingly, a leading independent watchdog group recently named Congressman Bishop – our Congressman – as 1 of the 12 most corrupt politicians in Washington, while Newsday has called for him to be investigated for an explosive pay-to-play scandal.

Does anyone think that things will change if Congressman Bishop is re-elected this November?

Does anyone think that career politicians like Congressman Bishop can clean up the mess in Washington that they helped to create?

I don’t think so.

We need a new direction for Suffolk County, and we need real change in Washington.

If you want to change Congress, you need to start by changing your Congressman.

With your support, I will take my experience as a self-made businessman to Congress and work with people in both parties to reduce the tax burden on Long Islanders, create good-paying jobs and get our economy growing again.

I urge you to read my specific, 10-point jobs plan at www.Randy2012.com/jobsplan and I respectfully ask for your support on November 6th.

The minority, the ruling class at present, has the schools and press, usually the Church as well, under its thumb. This enables it to organize and sway the emotions of the masses, and make its tool of them.

"A question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I or are the others crazy?" (Einstein)
Altschuler's lies are designed to leave us all a bit hazy. Only in that manner can we throw ourselves upon the insane notion that Randy and Romney promote. That notion, of course, is that there's a greater good done when the richest people in our nation pay less tax. This is a lie (I'm sure you're not surprised). Compare the maximum tax rate in the US from 1948 to the present. It has dropped from 75% to 15% for America's wealthiest, like Randy and Romney. Now look at the unemployment rate following each of those drops...I know you're not going to look, so I'll tell you the obvious....yep, you guessed it...up like a rocket. You can confirm this via Google, so I won't lie to you. I'm a firm believer that liars should not be rewarded with a high place in society and I'm sure you agree. Those who were caught lying in your school rooms were punished both socially and scorned by teachers equally. Why would we elevate Randy and Romney to the highest offices of our country? Caught in lie after lie. Flip-flopping more times than a fish out of water. Lying in between flip-flops (Don't forget, Ryan was dubbed "THE" liar of all times following the DNC.) If you can trust these liars after what Bush and Cheney did to us, you deserve exactly what you'll get...more taxes...less income. American is on its way back...don't let Altschuler and Romney take it away from us.

Political parties promote career politicians, and career politicians promote political parties, and we are left to fend for our selves! Make them work for us resign from all political parties ,Think like an independent!
Jaguar-Guy September 25, 2012 at 11:11 pm
I've sadly heard more lies from our President than any one of the bunch - and Bishop too.
Jaguar-Guy September 25, 2012 at 11:15 pm
Outsourcer Tim Bishop - the crook who takes bribes is a goner. The Stimulus (outsourcing Billions to China, Finland and Mexico, loosing tens of thousands of LI jobs and not only not putting forth any legislation himself, but lying about putting the farm bill up, the campaign bribe over fireworks, his 2 daughters going to Ivy league colleges paid for by a political buddy FOR FREE, becoming a multi-millionaire as a public servant, bankrupting our College, but finding jobs for about 20 or so family members at the school, and on and on. I don't see the pro's of Bishop outweighing those cons. I think Randy has ideas and it is time for a change and NOT the same old screwing.
Tina Piette September 26, 2012 at 01:17 am
Randy had my vote last time and he has it this time. Mr. Bishop is ineffective - at best. His "accomplishments" could be accomplished by anyone in his position. No brainers. Unfortunately, even when there was a Democrat majority he failed to deliver real, legal solutions to the economic plight of East End fishermen, farmers, residents and small businesses who were slugged with shrinking fishing quotas, a failed legal visa program, an Army Corp. study that languished (and still is!) for years, and "Obamacare" which, if implemented, can only hurt those who seek to employ others. I am the perfect example of "the middle"- now turning "lower" - income class. How low and taxed do I have to get before I am "equal" with my neighbors? I believe it is important to start at home politically so will avoid national "Them vs. Us" party rhetoric. To my knowledge, Randy Altschuler hasn't "lied" about anything. Ever. Or evaded or avoided tough subjects which involve ethics or a real plan for the District he will serve. I wish him well - but I'm sure I can not afford Tim Bishop any more.
North Fork Bob September 26, 2012 at 02:19 am
Einstein wouldn't have voted for you outsourcer. He had a heart, compassion and good sense. He stayed on the North Fork and was happy to sail a very small boat.He also played in a small orchestra in Southold. The locals loved him. They wouldn't have liked you.Making money by taking over 1,000 American jobs and damaging the lives of about 3,000 people. No they wouldn't have liked you at all
North Fork Bob September 26, 2012 at 02:34 am
Bush and Cheney just might be properly taken care of for all their work on Iraq.Desmond Tutu want's them tried for war crimes. Malaysia has already convicted them of war crimes.Imagine how the Iraq Vets feel.Fighting a war for a lie.50% of them are putting in disability claims.Romney/Ryan wants to take 11billion out of the VA's budget. Some Vets are throwing their Medals away.Bush will still be sitting next to Nolan Ryan laughing it up.
Sam Mays September 26, 2012 at 03:33 am
Outsourcer Tim Bishop has done nothing but smear his opponents come election time and then continues to do NOTHING! when will the folks of NY-1 learn!
Stinker September 26, 2012 at 10:14 am
Oh no, you couldn't be more incorrect Bob. Staying on the North Fork and sailing a very small boat immediately makes him an Alschuler fan. We don't even need to know about the orchestra, the North Fork and the small boat is a dead giveaway, how did you read that so wrong?

Preliator September 26, 2012 at 01:36 pm
Just look at the chart in this article, Bishop supported at least $4.5 billion in taxpayer money to be outsourced to other countries.
http://libertyslifeline.com/2012/07/12/tim-bishop-youve-got-some-explaining-to-do/ If anyone is an outsourcer it is Tim Bishop. Randy Altschuler paid taxes on the money he earned, Tim Bishop just spent it like a drunk at bar. Don't forget Bishop silence on Obama's outsourcing of security at our embassy, where is Tim on that issue? Why is Tim Bishop silent, if he is such a big opponent of outsourcing why won't the coward speak up.

Randy Altschuler made millions of dollars as the co-founder OfficeTiger, a business that helps companies move white-collar jobs overseas to countries like India and China. Altschuler successfully challenged the idea that only manufacturing jobs could be outsourced, convincing businesses to outsource white-collar jobs as well. According to Time Magazine, Randy Altschuler was "devoted to making outsourcing happen." [Time, 3/1/04] "Over time, OfficeTiger was able to convince more and more companies about the benefits of outsourcing." [eBusinessForum, 3/22/06] Randy Altschuler "pressed his former Wall Street colleagues to give the Indian workers a trial run at higher-end labor." [New Yorker, 7/5/04] "In India, you get a much higher standard of person." [Randy Altschuler, 3/24/03] OfficeTiger paid Indian workers "roughly a tenth" of what would be paid for comparable work in the United States. [New Yorker, 7/5/04] Randy Altschuler's business partner at OfficeTiger, Joseph Sigelman, said "we hope to be leading the move of white-collar jobs from the US." [LA Times, 8/29/04]

Randy and his company also paid taxes on the money the made, Tim Bishop just spends it. Why is okay for Obama and Bishop to send billions of taxpayer dollars overseas yet a private citizen is an outsourcer; what happened to all that global community mumbo jumbo democrats and the left love?
If you re-elect Obama and Bishop this country will be firmly set on the path of ruin and our debt will surely pass the $20 trillion mark before 2016. You are willfully stealing from your kids, grand kids and more and we should all be ashamed. The re-election of Obama is tantamount to national suicide.
Stinker September 26, 2012 at 05:53 pm
We saw this post when Bishop slapped it up and thought very little of him doing it. Do you have any idea how we view somone willing to cut and past it and re-post this malarkie?
Stinker September 26, 2012 at 05:56 pm
Yet another attack by Mary Beth is more like it - and a vicious one with lines like "the incumbent is good for Long Island and you are not". En fuego!

Bottom line :
"In India, you get a much higher standard of person." is Altshuler's "47%" comment. So go right ahead & vote for the guy who thinks Americans don't deserve his jobs...
K. September 26, 2012 at 08:29 pm
Reading a lot of these posts, it's hard to argue with him.
robkoz September 26, 2012 at 08:47 pm
OK John, I will. The problem is unskilled and uneducated Americans believe they deserve $30+ an hour with benefits for doing menial jobs like answering phones. You can thank unions for the brainwashing. It is no wonder years ago Dell moved it's customer service center to India.
John K Massaro September 26, 2012 at 08:58 pm
Putting aside political banter for a moment...
How funny is it when you call one of those customer service centers over in India & you get a guy on the phone with an accent you can barely understand saying, "Hello, thank you for calling the service center hotline, this is MIKE..." Yeah right. Mike. Sure it is...
robkoz September 26, 2012 at 09:13 pm
LMAO! True. We know his real name is Punjab!

Obama's recovery, growth revised down from 1.7% to1.3% for the second quarter.
Obama Admin new right away the attack on our consulate was a terrorist attack but blamed a stupid video for two weeks to avoid a black eye; a successful attack 11 years after 9/11 and the collapse of his pathetic foreign policy.

Does negative campaigning change minds or just enthrall supporters and inflame detractors?
Hey, folks, let's all write-in vote for "Einstein" to show our distaste for negative campaigning.
John K Massaro September 30, 2012 at 01:50 am
I love that idea, James! I think you might be on to something there...
North Fork Bob September 30, 2012 at 01:58 am
Stinker what I got wrong is the amount of white collar American jobs Randy outsourced it's 10,000.Do you think only conservative republicans live on the North Fork? There are quite a few but not all.Einstein was a Summer person anyway.
North Fork Bob September 30, 2012 at 02:03 am
Hey Billy J how would you feel if outsourcer or one of his ghoulish buddies took your job and shipped it to India. All Randy would do is smile
North Fork Bob September 30, 2012 at 02:14 am
Great idea. All you Republicans write in Einstein.I just don't see how anyone could vote for Randy the 10,000 American job stealer anyway.Traitorous and unethical. What do you think God thinks about this guy?
John K Massaro September 30, 2012 at 02:18 am
uhm...
I'm not a Republican. I don't choose a side & click all the levers on that side. I vote for who I like. Some Republican, some Democrat, some Independant. Depends on the guy, not the party...
