5 Upcoming School-Related Events

Want to find out what's happening in local schools during the rest of this week? Look no further.

1. Riverhead fourth-grade students will meet in the gymnasium on Thursday morning to speak live with students from Ghana using a special Internet connection. The assembly, organized with the help of Oiada, an organization to help students share cultures across the U.S. and Ghana, will kick off this year's "Fourth Grade Speaker Series." 

2. Need help studying for the SAT? The is offering the first in a series of four starting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Students are asked to bring their own book and have completed the first diagnostic test by the first class. The fee for the class is $40.

3. In sports,  will face Southampton at home on Thursday starting at 4:30 p.m. A cross-town battle will also take place between the on Thursday at the starting at 4:00 p.m.

4. On Thursday, the Riverhead Guidance Department will host an in-house College Fair for high school students to learn about the application process. Students will have the opportunity to meet with college representatives from across the Northeast.

5. The drama club, the Riverhead Middle Masques, will host a car wash on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the south side of the parking lot between the Middle School and bus garage.
