Assemblyman Organizes School Supply Drive

Donations can be dropped of on West Main Street in Riverhead.

During times when many families are struggling to buy groceries for their family, school supplies can signal financial distress.

To that end, Assemblyman Daniel P. Losquadro, R, C, I, Shoreham, is holding a back-to-school supply drive in Riverhead and other areas to help equip local students with essentials they need to fill their backpacks for the coming school year.

“As many families are currently struggling to pay bills and put food on the table, providing their children with the supplies they need to start the school year will be one less thing for them to worry about,” Assemblyman Losquadro said.  “When children know they are heading into school prepared, it allows them to focus on their studies and become better students.”
