Back To School List for 3rd Grade Riley Avenue Students

With August in full swing, in a heartbeat it will be time for that big yellow school bus to be rounding the corner and carrying students off for the first day of classes.

Riverhead Patch will continue to post back-to-school supply lists, which are also available at , in the days ahead, to help busy Moms get organized.

Here is the 3rd Grade Common Supply List for the Riley Avenue School.

3 black and white marble composition notebooks

2-3 glue sticks (small, .21 or .27 oz.)

4 dozen sharpened #2 pencils (have pencils at home, too)

1 large, family-size box of tissues

1 pencil box (to hold pencils, crayons, etc.)

1 pencil sharpener (that traps shavings inside)

1 eraser (Magic Rub or soft pink), or a supply of pencil cap erasers

3 folders -- two pockets each, pockets on the bottom

1 small box of crayons, (16 or fewer in box)

1 highlighter, any color

1-2 dry erase markers (low odor)

1 sock (to use to erase dry erase board)

1 package washable Magic Markers (8 pack or smaller)

Please put child's first and last name on all supplies and belongings. The child's teacher will provide a more complete supply list. This is only the supplies common to all third grade classes.
