With summer waning, why wait until the mad rush of the first day of school to start shopping for pencils and notebooks?

Walmart offers a display featuring school supply lists from area elementary schools. Each week, Riverhead Patch will feature one of the school supply lists offered, to make your shopping easier:

Roanoke Avenue Elementary School (Please bring these items to school on the first day)

Kindergarten

48 sharpened pencils

2 large pink erasers

2 Folders (Bottom pokcers)

3 Marble Composition Books

15 Glue Sticks

2 Packs of Crayola Crayons, 24 count

2 yellow highlighters

2 dry erase markers

1 pair of "Fiskars" scissors

1 bottle of glue

1 change of clothes (including underwear and socks in a labeled Ziploc baggie)

1 large plastic pencil box

Donations for classroom use: plastic bags (Gallon, quart, or sandwich) tissues and baby wipes.

First Grade

2 packs of sharpened pecils

2 folders (2 pocket, plastic)

1 marble composition book

1 pair of scissors

8 glue sticks

4 large erasers

2 packs of crayons (24 count)

2  one-subject spiral notebooks

Second Grade

2 Packs of sharpened pencils

5 two-pocket folders (no prongs) (red, yellow, blue, green, black)

1 durable folder (2 pocket, no prongs)

1 plastic pencil box

1 pair of scissors

1 pack of crayons (not 64 pack)

2 highlighters

2 red pens (flair style)

2 blue pens (flair style)
