Don't Miss: Open Houses and Back-To-School Nights

Here's a handy schedule so you won't miss one.

Open houses and back-to-school nights kick off Thursday in the Riverhead Central School District, providing parents the perfect time to get to know their children's teachers.

Thursday night at 7 p.m., open houses will be held at the Aquebogue Elementary School at 7 p.m. for grades K through 2, at the Riley Avenue Elementary School open house for grades K through 2, and at the Roanoke Avenue Elementary School open house for grades K though 4.

Open houses and back-to-school nights lets parents meet teachers, including Joanne Nierbergall, who was chosen as the Elementary Teacher of the Year and works at the Aquebogue Elementary School.

This year’s Secondary Teacher of the Year, Ann Priapi, a science teacher at the middle school, will also meet parents Joanne Niebergall was chosen as the Elementary Teacher of the Year. Ms. Niebergall teaches at the Aquebogue Elementary School. 

Mrs. Priapi is also one of the teachers that parents and guardians will be visiting during the middle school’s back-to-school night on October 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 20 - 7:00 p.m.: Riley Avenue Open House for grades K-2  

Thursday, Sept. 20 - 7:00 p.m.: Roanoke Avenue School Open House for grades K-4

Monday, Sept. 24 - 7:00 p.m.: Pulaski Street School Open House 

Thursday, Sept. 27 - 7:00 p.m. - Aquebogue Open House for grades 3-4

Thursday, Sept.  27 - 7:00 p.m. - Riley Avenue Open House for grades 3-4

Thursday, Oct. 4 - 7:00 p.m. - Middle School Back-to-School Night
