Cornell Cooperative Extension Gardening School 2011

Cornell Cooperative Extension will hold its popular Spring Gardening School in April.

Class selections are taught by Master Gardeners and Cornell educators. Registration includes four classes, continental breakfast, lunch, soil testing, plant diagnosis, and exhibits.

The gardening school will be held on Saturday, April 2, at The Academy of St. Joseph in Brentwood; Saturday, April 9, at Bellport High School; and Saturday, April 16 at Riverhead Middle School. 

Registration is mandatory.  Participants can bring soil and a plant sample for testing.

Classes offered include:pruning, indoor gardening, organic gardening, roses, Asian herbs and vegetables, gardening with children; edible flowers, floral design; gardening for beginners and more. Classes on specific types of plants will be offered including a course on figs.
