Kids Donate Candy To Soldiers For Veterans Day
The candy will be mailed to troops in Afghanistan.
Riverhead students decided to send troops overseas a sweet thank you in remembrance of Veterans Day.
The Riverhead Middle School National Jr. Honor Society recently sponsored "Operation Gratitude," during which Riverhead middle school students donated the candy they collected on Halloween to the project.
The candy will be mailed to soldiers in Afghanistan.
