March 23: An Inaugural Meeting, Book Club and Lecture

Take a look at what's going on around Riverhead this Wednesday.

1. Are you an "agri-woman?" The Suffolk County chapter of is meeting today at noon for the first time ever. The inaugural meeting will be held at Laurel Lake Vineyards and will host a light lunch, and the cost is $25. For more information, click here

2. At the Riverhead Free Library, a will meet today at 4:00. Come sign up and get yourself a book buddy.

3. Also at the library, from 6:00 - 8:30 tonight, will be a session titled  for entrepreneurs looking to make their own way and start their own business. This free course is open to all, though if you're interested, you are asked to call ahead and register.

4. In the latest "Save the Grange" lecture series, Angeliki Davis will give a presentation on . Doors open at 6:30 and light refreshments will be served. Donations will be accepted, with the proceeds going to benefit the Northville Grange.

5. In response to security concerns at Riley Avenue Elementary School, one School Board Member brought up what she even called an "awful word:" redistricting. Check back at 10:00 this morning to find out why it came up and what her colleagues thought.
