Photo: Riley Avenue Elementary School Celebrates Thanksgiving

Students give thanks.

For parents, there is probably nothing more precious that the Thanksgiving and holiday pageants performed by their small children during the elementary school years.

First graders in the Riley Avenue Elementary School prepared and performed a presentation on the meaning of Thanksgiving, dressed up as Native Americans and pilgrims, singing songs and playing drums for proud parents, friends and relatives.

The presentation was followed by a traditional Thanksgiving feast.
