PHOTOS: Seawolves Visit Patients at Stony Brook Children's

Stars of the Stony Brook football team bring good cheer to the kids.

Five stars of the Seawolves' football team on Monday visited young patients at Stony Brook Long Island Children's Hospital, bringing team treats like Wolfie temporary tattoos, autographed photos, and more.

Lykara Atkins, 22, of Riverhead, who was admitted to Stony Brook the day after Hurricane Sandy, was reunited with Miguel Maysonet, a former classmate at Riverhead High School.

Maysonet was joined by senior quarterback Kyle Essington, senior wide receiver Kevin Norrell, senior fullback Chris Fenelon, and junior running back Marcus Coker to cheer the kids up. The Seawolves, who are on a seven-game winning streak, will finish their regular season on Saturday against Big South rival Liberty University in a 3:30 p.m. game that will be televised on ESPN3.
