Riverhead High School Scholarship Night

On June 5, Riverhead High School hosted a special ceremony on Senior Scholarship night recognizing the seniors who had received special merit awards and/or scholarships for advancing their education. More than $360,000 of local and memorial scholarships were awarded to seniors.

The National and State scholarship recipients were of special note they include Sara Mottern for the Congressional Merit Award; Jonathan Troiano for the NYS Council of Administrators of Music Education Award; Carolyn Carrera and Steven Quaranto for the NYS Office of the Attorney General Triple “C” Awards; and Carolyn Carrera and Brett Coleman-Monteiro for The President’s Volunteer Service Award.

A string ensemble performed with Matthew Barnard, Sarah Halpin, May Methven and Karyn Torre and Taylor Burgess sang The Star Spangled Banner.
