Riverhead High School announced the 2012 Suffolk Zone/Physical Education student award winners on Tuesday.
Top honors were awarded to senior Megan Weiss, who has a 98.69 grade point average, is on the principals' honor roll and in the National Honor Society and is described as an "exceptional leader" by school officials. She plays varsity soccer and varsity softball.
Also awarded was senior Brian Funfgeld, who has a 98.58 GPA and plays varsity football, varsity track and varsity baseball.
