Students in the Riverhead Central School district will get a snow day on Monday.
Riverhead Central School District Superintendent Nancy Carney announced Sunday afternoon that all schools in the district would be closed Monday.
The announcment followed Friday's blizzard, which brought high winds and over 26 inches of snow to some areas of Riverhead Town.
The decision to close was made "due to hazardous road conditions," Carney said.
Classes are expected to resume as normal on Tuesday.
