With heavy snow on the way, the Riverhead Central School District has canceled after-school and evening activities on Tuesday.
In addition, the Riverhead Recreation Department is closing the George Young Community Center as of 3 p.m. Tuesday until at least noon on Wednesday.
Due to this closure, the following programs have canceled:
Kettlebell Workout – 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday
Yogalates - 6:45 p.m. Tuesday

Adult Tap Dance – 7 p.m. Tuesday
Morning Yoga – 9 a.m. Wednesday

Alcoholics Anonymous – 11 a.m. Wednesday
In addition, the Stotzky Park Ice Rink will remain closed until further notice. The rink is expected to re-open later this week.
- Martha Clara Vineyards will close at 1 p.m. Tuesday Stay tuned for more information.
- All Suffolk County National Banks will close at 2 on Tuesday.
- Suffolk County Community College: All activities and classes cancelled as of 5 p.m. Tuesday on all campuses.
- Shoreham-Wading River School District: Two hour early dismissal, no afternoon child care, and afternoon and evening activities cancelled Tuesday.
