Video: Ann Cotten-DeGrasse Makes Pitch for School Board Seat

Board of Education president is running with Greg Meyer and Patty Sapienza-Brown to fill three open seats.

As part of its  - including a vote on and a vote to elect - Riverhead Patch is conducting video interviews with all four candidates running to fill the three positions.

Patch has already posted video interviews with incumbent School Board Member and challengers and .

DeGrasse, who is running for her second term on the Board of Education, worked as a teacher in the school district for over 30 years and serves as teachers' union president for five.

After running on a platform of "bringing civility to the board" in 2007, she has since turned her focus to passing a capital improvements bond. After a $122.9 million bond failed roughly a year ago, she has served on a committee dedicated to presenting another, more palatable bond, to taxpayers in the school district.
