Whiz Kids: BOCES Students Make Nationals for Audio Production

Noah Gorman and Aaron Goldstein win state audio production competition.

Two Eastern Suffolk BOCES students are heading to Kansas City, Mo. after winning a state competition in audio production. 

Riverhead High School senior Noah Gorman and Shoreham-Wading River senior Aaron Goldstein won first place and will compete in the 47th Annual Skills USA Competition on June 18.

The two are both enrolled in an audio production course at H.B. Ward Technical and Academic Center, the Eastern Suffolk BOCES branch. The course teaches areas of audio production such as law and licensing, and also computer audio software.

Gorman is a guitarist and will pursue sound recording technology at SUNY-Fredonia next year. Goldstein will study audio technology next year at New England Institute of Technology.
