This race is organized by the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation in honor of the Kemp's Ridley sea turtle. It is one of the world's most endangered sea turles and was found in New York waters. Early registration is only $17 if postmarked by Oct. 16. The race is open to all ages.
