Jan. 20: Hoops, Masques, and Arts

Take a look at what's going on around Riverhead this Thursday.

1. On the basketball court, Riverhead boys' and girls' teams match up against East Islip tonight, while the McGann-Mercy girls host Stony Brook. The boys tip off at 5:45, while both girls games start at 6:15. 

2. The Riverhead Middle School Masques Theater Club will be hosting the opening performance of 'Alice in Wonderland' tonight at 7:00. Tonight's performance will be followed by another tomorrow at the same time, and a Saturday afternoon matinee. Admission is $7.

3. The Riverhead Town Board's weekly work session will not be open to the public this morning. The only item on the agenda is an executive session meeting with the a expertise on land use at EPCAL. They will be discussing contractual matters, a privileged under open meeting laws.

4. East End Arts Council announced a call for artists next month for its next exhibit: "Women: The eternal artist's muse and inspiration." Submissions will be accepted from Feb. 24-26. The exhibit will run from March 4 - April 15.
