Two Riverhead High School students were honored by New York State Senator Ken LaValle this week for their excellence in rowing.
Erik Divan and Daniel O'Neill were recognized with a resolution on the New York State Senate floor on Monday for their 2012 SRAA National Rowing Championship win.
"Excellence and success in competitive sports can be achieved only through strenuous practice; Erik Divan's and Daniel O'Neill's dedication to competitive rowing is a year-round, everyday commitment; they are highly focused and have developed matchless work ethics," LaValle said.
