In what was considered by some to be a surprising move by the Cleveland Browns, former star Stony Brook University and Riverhead High School running back Miguel Maysonet has been cut from the team's roster, according to a report published by Newsday.
In the team's four preseason games, Maysonet saw action in three, though in his final appearance only touched the ball once. The running back said in an interview with Newsday that he'll take a wait-and-see approach to what happens next.
"It's always a disappointment when you put your all into something and the outcome isn't what you expected,'' Maysonet told Newsday. "I really do appreciate the Browns organization and letting me be a part of what they are building there."
