Senior running back Miguel Maysonet, who won the Hansen Award during his senior season at Riverhead High School, set a career high on Saturday with 198 rushing yards on 27 carries in Stony Brook's 32-31 win over Colgate.
His lone touchdown of the game came on a 1-yard run with 3:31 left to play and was the game-winner for the Seawolves, who are now 3-1 on the season. Maysonet has recorded 15 games with at least 100 rushing yards, and stands 283 yards away from breaking the Big South Conference record for all-time rushing currently held by the Jacksonville Jaguars' Rashad Jennings (3,633).
Next up for Maysonet: the Seawolves travel to West Point on Sept. 29 for a 12 p.m. game against Army, which will be televised on CBS Sports.
