S-WR Boys' Lax Team Ranked Seventh in Suffolk

The New York State Sportwriters' Association released its first boys' lacrosse rankings of the season this week and two Long Island programs sit in the top spot.

Catholic power Chaminade is the No. 1 team in the state Class A rankings while Garden City is No. 1 in Class B. See the full state rankings here. 

Sayville has started League play 4-0 with wins over Islip, Rocky Point, Miller Place and Bellport. Bayport-Blue Point has also come out of the gate 4-0 in League play with wins over East Hampton/Bridgehampton/Pierson, Westhampton, Greenport/Southold/Mattituck, and Hampton Bays.

The NYSSWA also released its first Long Island boys lacrosse rankings, compiled by Farmingdale Coach Bob Hartranft. Here is the Suffolk County Top 10:
