Super Bowl Chat: Local Pats Fan, Giants Fan Talk Keys to Victory

Riverhead Patch editor Joe Pinciaro sat down with local blogger and Riverhead native Doug Wald for a chat about Sunday's upcoming Super Bowl.

For the football fans out there, you've been hearing the talking heads and reading columns about the Super Bowl for over a week now. Well, so have I.

In the spirit of trying to localize the Super Bowl, one of the biggest media spectacles year after year on the national stage, I thought it might be fun to take advantage of the fact that my favorite football team is playing off againt one of the local squads. And considering , is a , it only made sense for us to try and get a local conversation going.

So Doug graciously took some time out of his day on Sunday to chat with me over what we think some pros and cons of each team are. We may not sound too different from the guys on ESPN, NFL.com, or other sports outlets, but rather than yelling at your TV at someone in Bristol, CT or Indianaoplis, at least you can bounce some ideas off a couple of local residents who will talk back with you.

Stay tuned for another segment, where Doug and I give our final predictions on Sunday's game, and more. And let us know what you think about our analyses!

Does Doug do anything else but nod his head. He must do that 100 times during the video! When you tap glasses and say cheers you are suppossed to drink not just put the glass down. Go Pats and Doug what the hell happened to you over the years you look awful like you gained 100 pounds!

@Pricklepickle what do you think about his points? We never claimed to be pro analysts - we're keeping our day jobs. Also please refrain from personal attacks. We don't stand for those in comments on any of our stories - they're unnecessary and don't add to a constructive dialogue. Thanks.
