In this YouTube video, Miguel Maysonet, Riverhead's legendary star player and Stony Brook University's former running back, gets interviewed by ESPN reporter Rich Cimini on his recent experience at the NFL combine, where about 300 players show up to impress NFL scouts.
In the interview, Maysonet calls the combine "an awesome experience.
"I got to sit down with various NFL running back coaches and answer questions and talk to them about football, about life, about everything you can think of," said Maysonet, who totaled more than 1,900 yards this past season and is the first Stony Brook player ever to get an invite to the NFL combine.
Up next for him: Pro Day at Stony Brook University, set for March 22, when he will run the 40 yard dash that he had to skip at the combine due to a hamstring injury.
