Attention Race Fans: Riverhead Raceway Summer Schedule
Are you a race fan or driver, share your photos and experiences with Patch.
Those looking to experience some racing action this summer will be sure to find what they are looking for at Riverhead Raceway, which kicked off it's 37th season in April. Slated for the rest of the summer are weekly races, featuring school bus demos, fireworks, figure 8's, and monster trucks. Most cars are also driven by locals and sponsored by area businesses.
Gates open for all Saturday races at 3 p.m. and noon for Sunday races.
The following is Riverhead Raceway's Summer 2013 Schedule:
June
Saturday, June 29: Buzz Chew Chevrolet/Cadillac Night, featuring "Hoosier Tire 200, NASCAR Whelen Modified “Flash” Tour, 30 Lap Blunderbusts and 30 Lap Legends.
July
Satuday, July 6: Fireworks, 4 Cylinder Demolition Derby, 50 Lap Cromarty Cup Modifieds, Figure 8’s, Chargers, Blunderbusts, and Legends.
Saturday, July 13: Modifieds, Late Models, Super Pro Trucks, 8 Cylinder Enduro.
Saturday, July 20: 77 Lap Baldwin, Evans, Jarzombek Memorial by Hagerman Systems Modifieds, Figure 8’s, Chargers, Blunderbusts, Legends
Saturday, July 27: School Bus Demolition Derby, 8 Cylinder Demolition Derby, Modifieds, Chargers, Blunderbusts, Legends, Grand Enduro.
August
Saturday, August 3: Twin 30’s Modifieds, Late Models, Chargers, Blunderbusts, Super Pro Trucks, 4/6 Cylinder Enduro
