Don't Miss: Blood Drive Tuesday At Fire House

Have a little time to give this afternoon? The Riverhead Community Blood Drive is taking place until 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Riverhead Fire Department headquarters on Roanoke Avenue.

All donors will be entered to win gift cards, and organizer Lauren Reichel said the New York Blood Center is aiming for 90 pints. While 80 people had signed up beforehand, she said, some tend to fall through.

Snacks, coffee and more are offered for donors after they give blood, with sponsors from Snowflake, Riverhead Diner & Grill, Strathmore Bagels, Digger's, The Suffolk Theater, Parto's and TGIFriday's.

Individuals must range in age from 16 to 75 (with a doctor's note if older), and weigh over 110 pounds.
