Week Ahead: 'Taste North Fork,' Election Day, Rockin' Movies

Here's a look at what's happening this week in Riverhead.

- Tuesday is Election Day and the race is on for the supervisor's seat and two town council positions in Riverhead, as well as a host of other posts. See our full election guide, Monday on Patch.

- A town board meeting takes place on a special day, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at Riverhead Town Hall.

- Charlie Thomas' Drifters will take the stage at the Suffolk Theater Friday at 8 p.m. Hear a rock and roll Hall of Famer with more than 200 million albums sold perform hit singles including “Under the Boardwalk”, “Up on the roof”, “This Magic Moment”, “On Broadway”, and “Save the Last Dance for Me”.
Advance tickets $50. Tickets at door $60. Go for dinner and enjoy a variety of local foods, local wines and specialty cocktails. Doors, restaurant and bar open at 6:30 p.m.

- theRIVERHEADPROJECT continues with theMOVIEPROJECT into November on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings beginning at dusk. A large projector screen situated inside the lounge by the fireplace will show different films each night according to a theme selected by a guest curator. A cinematic specialty cocktail will be featured each week in addition to complimentary popcorn. On Monday evenings guests are invited to meet each week’s curator.
