SHELTER ISLAND
• Library TalkThe Shelter Island Library is hosting LongHouse Reserve Executive Director, Matko Tomicic, on Friday night at 7 for a glimpse into the East Hampton location.

GREENPORT
• Art OpeningPeconic Landing's resident art committee will host an opening reception on Sunday for "The Rest is Art: A Celebration of the Bench as an Art Form," in Peconic Landing's permanent outdoor sculpture garden. The reception begins at 4 p.m. and admission is free.

SOUTHOLD

• OperaDuck Walk Vineyards is hosting Opera of the Hamptons on Saturday, at 7 p.m. Cristina Fontanelli and Her Fabulous Friends will perform. Tickets are $45 in advance, $55 at the door. 
• For the Love of LobsterLobster fans, rejoice. A Lure is hosting a six-course lobster meal on Sunday starting at 2 p.m., welcoming Chef Christopher Augusta, Proprietor of Harvest Inn B&B. Cost is $90 per meal.

CUTCHOGUE
• Mother's Club Yard SaleThe Southold Mother's Club is holding a yard sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of Bridge Lane and Route 48. 
• Wine, Cheese, Beer, Oh MyWaters Crest Winery will be hosting a tasting on Saturday at 3 p.m., with Mecox Bay Dairy cheeses and Greenport Harbor Brewing Company beers. Cost is $35 per person.

JAMESPORT
• Religion on the VineSherwood House Vineyards is hosting Tom Lyon, Area Volunteer/Coordinator on Long Island for Heifer International, which is fighting hunger and poverty. Conversation starts at 1 p.m., and admission is free.

RIVERHEAD
• Carboard Boat RaceThe annual event in the Peconic River kicks off at noon on Saturday in the downtown Riverhead waters. Open to the public.
• Food CanningThe final course in canning by Cornell Cooperative Extension's Mark Vosburgh will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $5.
• Live MusicThe Roots Foundation, a five-piece reggae band, will be playing at Martha Clara Vineyards on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
• Suffolk Theater: Friday night, catch 'Fast Lane,' the Eagles tribute band, at 8. Tickets start at $35. 
• KaraokeLooking to do some singing of your own? Head on down to Outerbanks at Indian Island on Saturday night as Miss Ginny hosts, with giveaways and door prizes. The mic goes on at 8:30, and on Sunday, Side FX – a group of doctors who also play music – will perform from 6 to 9 p.m.

FLANDERS
 Farmers MarketThe Flanders Fresh Farm Food Market – a weekly farmers market at the DAvid Crohan Community Center – kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m. Caroline Doctorow will perform songs from her new album, "Little Lovin' Darling," at 11 a.m., and locals – Flanders Flags will be for sale.
