Riverhead

13th Annual Riverhead Railroad Festival. The 13th Annual Riverhead Railroad Festival, presented the board of trustees of the Railroad Museum of Long Island, takes place on museum grounds on Griffing Avenue on August 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Greenwoodworking Workshops. Enjoy a fun and relaxing two-hour exploration of the woodworking style known as "Greenwoodworking” at Hallockville Museum Farm on Saturday. The farm is located at 6038 Sound Avenue. The event starts at 9 a.m.

Bobby Caldwell. Head over to the Suffolk Theater at 118 East Main Street for a vocal performance by Bobby Caldwell on Saturday. Tickets are $65 in advance; $75 at the door. Show starts at 8 p.m.

Flanders

First Annual Duck Race. The First Annual Duck Race to benefit the Big Duck in Flanders will be held on Saturday at noon at the Flanders Mens Club. A rain date will be slated for Sunday. Pre-registration is required. Admission $5.

Wading River

Wading River Local Market. Every Sunday enjoy fresh goat cheese and bread at the Wading River Local Market at the duck ponds. 302 North Country Rd. Full farm stand, baked goods, homemade soap, jewelry, etc. Open 10-4.

Jamesport

Save Main Road BBQ. The first annual Save Main Road pit barbecue fundraiser will be held at Finnegan's Wake at 313 Center Street in South Jamesport on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Greenport

Amy Worth Art Classes. This two-day beginner / intermediate workshop is geared towards painters, working in oils, who want to explore a looser technique and improve their color mixing skills. Classes begin Saturday at 10 a.m. at the South Street Gallery, 18 South Street. Cost is $210 and includes palette knife and viewfinder.

Shelter Island

2nd Annual Duck Race. The Shelter Island Chamber of Commerce is holding its 2nd Annual Duck Race down the waters of Chase Creek at Volunteer Park on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The $20 sponsorship fee helps raise funds for the chamber’s annual budget of events and gatherings.

Art Show & Craft Fair. The Shelter Island Chamber of Commerce is holding its 50th Annual Art Show & Craft Fair on the Shelter Island School grounds on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Southold

Sunflowers At Artists & Carafes. This is a BYOB painting party event where everyone learns to paint their own 16x20 masterpiece. Live music and complimentary cheese and crackers. $40. Port of Egypt Marina, 62300 Main Road, Southold.

Cutchogue

Live Afternoon Music. Listen to the live sounds of Rorie Kelly at Coffee Pot Cellars, 31855, Main Road in Cutchogue. Free event. Reserve a picnic blanket or bring your own. Outside food is allowed. Begins at 2 p.m.

Tapas in Asana and Life. Learn how consistent practice of yoga offers the path of transformation, growth, clarity and enlightenment at the Hamptons Yoga Healing Arts, 8 Moniebogue Lane, Westhampton Beach. $30 early enrollment; $40 day of the event. 10 a.m.

Bridgehampton

Antiques & Design Fair. The Bridgehampton Antiques & Design Fair presents 25 dealers from the U.S. and Europe. The fair is being held at the Bridghampton Community House, 2357 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. Admission $5.   

East Hampton

Basketball Tournament. Flash your skills or come watch this 3 on 3 tournament held at the Ross School, 18 Goodfriend Drive on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Wynton Marsalis. See legendary jazz musician Wynton Marsalis at the Guild Hall, 158 Main Street, East Hampton on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets available at guildhall.org or at the box office.

An American Journey. The Leiber Collection invites you to visit 'Judith Leiber, An American Journey : From Artisan to Fashion Icon', celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of Judith Leiber Handbags in 1963. The collection begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday in the Judith Leiber Gallery, 446 Old Stone Highway, East Hampton.

Sag Harbor

Lunch with Waterfront Views. The Beacon at 8 West Water Street in Sag Harbor is offering lunch from Chef Sam McCleland on Saturday and Sunday from 11:45 a.m to 2:30 p.m.

The Feminist Press Benefit Party. This annual summer benefit party support The Feminist Press on Sunday at 4 p.m. at B. Smith’s, 1 Long Wharf Street. Join restaurateur and television personality B. Smith as host and emcee of the Feminist Press's annual East End soiree.

Southampton

Yappy Hour. Head over to the Rogers Mansion at 17 Meetinghouse Lane in Southampton Village for special drinks, snacks, a dog contest with a celebrity judge and prizes all to benefit the Southampton Historical Museum and the Southampton Animal Shelter. $25 in advance, $30 at the door, $10 per dog for the contest, free for children. Saturday at 5 p.m.

Jazz at Lincoln Center.  The music and personalities of Harlem in the 1920s are brought to life in this interactive concert led by drummer Bryan Carter. Show is on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Southampton Center, 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton. Free event.

Quogue

Theater Audition. Audition for “Other Desert Cities” at the Quogue Community Hall at 125 Jessup Avenue, Quogue on Sunday; 2 p.m. “Other Desert Cities" is Jon Robin Baitz's drama about a family gathering at which the imminent publishing of an explosive memoir threatens to tear the family apart. Roles up for casting range in age from 30s to 60s.

Water Mill

Southampton Arts Festival Closing Gala. The Southampton Art Festival closes at the Parrish Art Museum, 279 Montauk Highway, Water Mill on Sunday at 4 p.m. with performances from a diverse array of musicians.
