<p>The high school offers an array of educational options for students, ranging from advanced placement to occupational education to ROTC. The H.B. Ward Technical and Academic Center, one of several Eastern Suffolk Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) campuses, is located nearby, where students can gain credit as well. Extracurriculars range from a student newspaper to an outdoors club to a bible club. In 2008-2009, Riverhead students averaged 482 for Critical Reading, 492 for Math, and 473 for Writing on the SAT. Ninety-one percent of the class of 2009 went on to attend post secondary education.</p>
