Justin Bonsignore to support Racin' for Jason.

After Keri Trinca and her 7-year old son lost their lives in a tragic Manorville car accident last October, communities across Long Island grieved. And at the Riverhead Raceway, where Keri Trinca was headed with Jason and her other two children Marialena 4, and Christopher, 2 -- Jason competed in the karting club there -- friends and drivers alike were devastated by the tragedy that claimed the lives of two of their own. This year, Holtsville resident Justin Bonsignore, who won the NASCAR Modified Track Championship at the Riverhead Raceway last year, while also competing full time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour full-time, is remembering the Trinca family and fundraising to help Keri's husband, Jay, and their children. Consistent scoring and a stingy defense in the second half helped Whitman to remained in control enroute to a 18-5 win. Coach Bob Howell said his squad's teamwork was the key to victory  — and the unbeaten start.  "I'm really excited with the group of kids that we have this year," said Howell. Following Trade, 'Tebowing' Students Hope to Meet Star Athlete

A group of students suspended last year after a 'Tebowing' incident at Riverhead High School say they would be honored to meet the new member of the New York Jets.

While news of Tim Tebow's arrival in New York hit media outlets far and wide this week, one group of locals was particularly excited to hear that the quarterback is coming to town. Last December, a group of Riverhead High School students made national headlines themselves, as a "Tebowing" display in the halls of the school ended up getting a couple students suspended after administrators said they had been warned about blocking the halls in the past.  The kids told Yahoo! sports at the time that the display was "out of respect for Tebow, and because 'Tebowing' is the new thing to do." Tebow — who is going into his third year in the National Football League and had led the Denver Broncos to six straight wins at the time of the incident — is…
