Sylvester Manor Educational Farm and Eastville Community Historical Society have partnered to host their 3rd annual Black History Month event. Dr. Georgette Grier-Key, Executive Director of ECHS, will moderate a panel discussion of cultural food traditions and how they have been influenced by the diversity of Long Island. Afterward, a reception will offer a sampling of cultural dishes.
Guest panelists will include: Diane Fish Colonial Food Historian), Bennett Konesni (Co-Founder & Chief Ambassador, Sylvester Manor Educational Farm), Josephine Smith (Member, Shinnecock Nation, Representatives from OLA (Organización Latino-Americano).
