Lumber Liquidators Opens Doors in Riverhead

A new store has opened its doors in Riverhead, offering flooring alternatives at affordable prices.

Lumber Liquidators, located at 144 Kroemer Ave., aims to offer a low-cost, no-middleman flooring approach to Riverhead homeowners and construction professionals.

"Our doors are open for business, and our team is here to help local homeowners find a beautiful floor that fits their budget," said store manager Leroy Wickham. "Our store carries more than 340 low-price flooring options, much of which is in-stock and ready for delivery. Plus, our strong team of flooring experts can offer the advice and samples homeowners need to find the right floor for them." 

Lumber Liquidators is a large specialty retailer of hardwood flooring and offers over 340 flooring varieties, including laminate, solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, bamboo, cork, vinyl wood plank and Bellawood Prefinished Hardwood Floors.

“Our goal is to make sure every Riverhead area customer gets a beautiful new floor that’s right for them, and at incredibly low prices,” Tom Sullivan, founder and chairman of Lumber Liquidators, said. “We cut out the middleman and deal directly with the mills, and that allows us to pass the savings on to our customers. Plus all of our store associates are flooring experts ready to help.” 

The 6,000 square foot space also offers other components necessary for a flooring project, including molding and trim, underlayments, grills and vents, adhesives, floor-care accessories, and flooring tools.

The new store also features already-installed floors so customers can walk on them and try out different styles.

And, to help visualize their home improvement project, shoppers can see how various floors will look when they’re installed via an in-store iPad loaded with the company’s Floor Finder app. They can also take home free flooring samples and consult with Lumber Liquidators’ flooring experts.
