New Program Will Offer Critical Info To First Responders

The new program can save lives.

Sometimes having vital information immediately can save lives.

On Thursday, Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent F. DeMarco is slated to join Assemblyman Al Graf and the Suffolk County Assembly Minority delegation to announce a partnership with The New York State Sheriffs’ Association for a new program that can save lives.

Yellow Dot is a free program that provides vital medical information to first responders.

To participate, individuals must complete a medical information card contained in the Yellow Dot kit, attach a recent photo, place it in the glove compartment of their vehicle, and place the Yellow Dot decal on the rear driver’s side window.
First responders arriving at the scene of an emergency will be alerted by the Yellow Dot decal to look for the medical information card in the glove compartment.
