3 Vie For 2 Seats On Riverhead Board of Education

Two of the three candidates running for Riverhead Board of Education seats are seeking re-election.

With nominating petitions in, three candidates have stepped up to throw their hats into the proverbial ring for the Riverhead Central School District's board of education.

Running for two seats on the seven-member BOE are incumbents Amy Lantz, and Jeff Falisi, with Chris Dorr also a candidate, according to Superintendent Nancy Carney.

The three candidates will vie for two seats -- both Lantz's and Falisi's terms are up, and they are seeking re-election.

The deadline to file petitions for the unpaid positions was Monday; the vote takes place on May 21.
